Senior care workers will form a significant, dedicated team in covering the Breckland area, with specific duties to respond to emergency referrals or any care package within our contracted area/s in order to ensure a take up of new referrals.
All applicants must hold a relevant NVQ2 and be prepared to undertake NVQ3.
The senior care workers will receive specialist training in order that referrals from various client groups could be maintained. All senior care workers will receive training in risk/needs assessing, Dementia, Palliative Care and First Aid, as well as the standard induction-training course. In addition we will source specialist training e.g. challenging behaviour etc in order to meet local needs.
Some senior care workers will lead a double up team, these seniors can work with a less experienced care worker to cover rounds of double up care packages in a defined area.
The salary will be based on £6.75 per hour weekdays with enhancements for weekends and mileage + a standby/on-call allowance. Senior Care Workers will be guaranteed hours around their availability.
The senior care worker team will share in a standby/on-call roster. The standby senior care worker will be available to cover unforeseen staff sickness/absences and times of a high rate of emergency referrals.
Senior Care Workers will lead a small team of care workers in their local areas and report directly to the Supervisor.
