Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a development team for a successful business.

This role will include, but is not limited to, the following main duties:

Working within a small team and taking responsibility for various projects connected with our business systems: Development of software for in-house use (in text-based and Windows environments) including liaising with the appropriate departments to determine user requirements, testing completed software, ensuring that such software is efficiently implemented, users are trained in its’ operation and that documentation is updated. The main development tools in use are C# and Delphi in conjunction with MS SQL.
Modification of existing software using a variety of development environments Development of reports and reporting systems. Participate in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of 3rd party software systems as required. Participate in multi-disciplined teams set up from time to time to improve the efficiency of various aspects of the business.

The successful candidate will have experience of Understanding the fundamentals of Object Orientated Programming. Understand the operation of databases and data normalization techniques. Ability to develop software in either C# (Visual Studio) or Delphi. Ability to analyse business problems / user requirements and convert into user friendly software Ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels. Good written and oral English

The following would be nice to have but not essential.

Use of SQL database in a business environment An IT related degree Experience of ERP. Experience of a manufacturing environment. ASP ASP.NET
