Job Description
A leading UK general insurer and financial services provider, who are continuing to grow steadily, now have a new vacancy for a Motor and Personal Underwriter in their Underwriting Department.
Job Specification
The main duties associated with this role will include the following:
€¢ Analysis of risk information and making decisions on premiums and terms for risks presented
€¢ Detailed renewal reviews of existing business
€¢ Supporting local Sales initiatives, including attending external meetings and client visits
€¢ Dealing with all forms of verbal, written and electronic enquiries from our customers
€¢ Acting as a point of referral for junior members of staff
€¢ Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
Personal Specification
We are looking for someone has:
€¢ Excellent communication skills
€¢ A positive customer orientated attitude
€¢ A sound technical knowledge of underwriting general insurance products
€¢ The flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm necessary to actively assist customers in resolving queries and maximising retention of quality business.
€¢ The ability to analyse, evaluate and make logical decisions
€¢ The ability to meet challenging deadlines and Department quality service standards
