Job Description

Job Title: Quality Manager Location: Great Yarmouth Salary: GBP26,000

Background: My client for the past 25 years have designed, manufactured and supplied specialist power electronic capacitors to an international market. Now with our current growth we are seeking a quality manager to help continue our success.

Skills and qualifications: HND (NVQ 4) or equivalent, CQI D2 or equivalent, from previous quality management role with demonstrable performance record, certificated auditor, understanding of high voltage electrical test equipment, some electrical/electronic, chemical and mechanical engineering awareness/knowledge would be advantageous, strong MS Office suite skills.

Duties:

Lead, manage and motivate the team of quality department employees. Drive the ISO9001 quality management system as management representative. Help monitor and improve environmental management system to ISO140001. Perform internal and external audits. Implement and maintain any agreed quality standards. Improve product quality and systems conformance through departmental liaison. Take a hands-on approach in all quality functions. Select, recruit and train employees in line with business needs and strategy. Enforce company rules and follow disciplinary procedures where appropriate. Administer and perform annual appraisals. Plan, coordinate and control resources and processes to agreed service levels. Continually improve written procedures for equipment and processes. Keep clean, tidy and organised quality areas to the required level of housekeeping. Promote a continuous improvement culture. Consistently work towards improving costs. Ensure that all quality policies and procedures are adhered to. Maintain detailed logs for recording and analysis of departmental performance. Attend training courses, conferences, seminars and symposiums. Ensure that company Health and Safety and Environmental procedures/policies are correctly Followed. Uphold ISO9001 procedures/processes and monitor agreed key performance indicators KPI’s).
