Job Description

Senior Occupational Therapist - NorfolkWe are currently looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist. The hospital offers medium secure services for men with personality disorders, learning or developmental disorders and challenging behaviour. It also provides low secure services for both men and women with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour.Purpose of the RoleTo contribute to the development and delivery an occupational therapy (OT) assessment and treatment service to patients / service users at the hospital and associated community services (step-down and community day centre)To provide ward-based and day centre-based occupation-focused occupational therapy to patients / service users with complex mental health needs.To be an active and integral member of the multidisciplinary team.With other members of the multi-disciplinary team, co-ordinate clinical care for service users within the hospital.To provide clinical supervision to occupational therapy staff. To deputise for the Hospital Lead for Occupational Therapy when required.The ideal candidate needs to have a diploma or a degree in Occupational Therapy. You will also need at least 2 years post qualification experience in a clinical mental health setting and or demonstrable experience highly related to the clinical field. It is also essential to have experience of working with people who have complex mental health problems/personality disorder / learning disability.Salary is competitive dependant on experience.
