Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Support Technician.
The role will involve:
Install, configure and support Laptops, workstations, Servers, LANs, WANs and internet systems.
Maintain network and workstation hardware and software.
Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users at all times.
Perform routine backups and archival of files to assist with disaster recovery.
Assist in Hardware/Software Audits.
Maintain Telephone system.
Advise staff and members of their use of standard IT applications, provide them support to ensure effective and timely resolution of technical problems.
Monitor system alerts on servers and report problems to his manager.
Will be confident with the following technologies.
Windows XP/Vista/7, Server 2003/2008.
Active Directories and Domains
Networking, Switches, LANs, Routers, Firewalls.
MS Exchange
Qualifying Experience
1-2 years supporting windows XP, 2003 on desktops and laptops.
Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware
Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems.
Experience creating/Maintaining users on active directories, group policies etc.
