| Experienced Quantity Surveyor required in South Norfolk to manage all costs relating to building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures in order to minimise the costs of the project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. As well as adhering to the statutory building regulations and current Health and Safety legislation. The role encompasses managing costs on a wide variety of building projects and structures. Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work. Assisting in establishing client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies. Preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans. Performing risk and value management and cost control. Advising on procurement strategy. Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks. Allocating work to subcontractors and providing advice on contractual claims. Naturally you will need to have considerable and relevant experience of working previously in the construction industry and the necessary HND qualification. There is an attractive package available including a salary of up to £40,000 pa, plus a car, pension and private medical care.
