An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the management team of a Norfolk manufacturing company. Located in an idyllic countryside location north of Thetford our client is a major supplier of capital equipment to the hotel, restaurant and cruise liner industry. Their continued success has led to the creation of a new role for an experienced production Operations Manager.
The role will include responsibility for all aspects of the production operation and will include day to day responsibility for Health & Safety. The successful candidate will also undertake weekly tool box talks and safety meetings within the production and warehouse area making sure procedures are kept up with regards to good housekeeping procedures. You will also be responsible for inductions for all new production staff and ensuring the Health & Safety file is complete and ready for inspection at any time. HR duties with the staff involved in production and warehouse including interviewing and diciplinaries. Working with the Companies production schedule system and implementing it and improving production within it. Working with directors on improving productivity and making production more efficient and cost effective. You will need to be a great natural leader by example capable of building your team in terms of motivation and productivity.
There is a staring salary of £25,000 + benefits for this new role. The location does not lend itself easily to someone without their own transport.
