| Senior Electronic Development Engineer/Team Leader The main role of this position is to provide electronic design, simulation and test development services to the business. The skills required will include principally analogue and RF & Microwave circuit design. Additionally some software writing for test systems is required. Experience with the design and implementation of microstrip and stripline matching networks, couplers and filters. Pre-requisites Qualifications: Electronics Degree (ideally with RF/Microwave and analogue content) Experience: Analogue Circuit and RF/Microwave design, simulation and implementation. Development of test specifications and implementation into auto test systems with both hardware and software Practical hands on experience in the construction, testing and diagnostics of circuits and modules Ideally some familiarity of electronic multi-chip module packaging technologies. including PCB, high frequency laminates and ceramic, soldering and chip and wire assembly. General: Good communication skills,Self-motivated,Self confident,Commercially aware.Willingness to undertake some travel both nationally and internationally.Flexibility with working hours. Design Tools: Experience with design simulation tools - Ansoft HFSS, Microwave Office, AutoCad Simetrix Or similar Test Systems: Experience with test instrumentation - Oscilloscopes, Network analysers, Impedance analysers etc and the software to control them (Visual Basic, C++, Labview) Responsibilities Design and development and simulation of high reliability analogue electronic modules Design and development of RF/Microwave electronic modules Compliance with specifications and National and International Standards for products and systems. Appreciation and adoption of procedures and working techniques necessary for high reliability, safety critical products Design and development of analogue and microwave test systems for low to medium volume production testing. With a combination of both manual and auto test regimes and operated over a range of temperatures The planning, implementation and reporting of product validation testing and qualification Provision of technical guidance to engineers and technical administrators Technical liaison with customers and suppliers Support to the production departments with test and diagnostics, alternative components and obsolescence Awareness of manufacturing processes, costs and yield drivers. |
