| Main Point: Must have direct hands on experience and have had personal responsibility for setup, preparation and implementation of Windows Server Operating Systems. The successful candidate will therefore have direct working knowledge of the following areas: Windows Server Operating Systems and Configuration SubjectRelevance AD ManagementHigh Networking SetupHigh Understanding of DNS/DHCP High Group policies Medium TS/Citrix/RDMedium Concepts of disk managementMedium Firewall - software (e.g. ISA)Low Multiple server installationsLow IISLow Experience administering Exchange 2003 or equivalent Mail Servers SubjectRelevance Concepts of message storeHigh Concepts of message routingHigh User setup links to ADHigh SMTP/POP deliveryHigh Local & remote client connectionHigh Other - e.g. PDA/BlackberryMedium Multiple sites/serversLow Experience with configuring routers inc H/W VPNS, remote access and WANs Experience in Backup Solutions SubjectRelevance Tape BackupHigh Disk 2 Disk/NASLow On lineLow Experience with AV/security solutions Server based Antivirus/Anti Spyware High Anti Spam Medium General summary and thought: We want an MCSA at £22-24k + Audi (actually van at first and order Audi after trial period) We may need to take MCP willing and able to attain MCSA in 12 months, who starts at £19-20k + Van and transitions. Other qualities and thoughts: Excellent customer relations essential Must be well presented Personable and likeable Must be willing to deal with day-to-day support calls Able to be self motivated plus work as a team Must be paranoid about data! Must have Clean-ish Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 4 points, no previous disqualifications.) |
